Issues, cycles and projects for software teams

Standupless is an issue tracker for software engineers. File issues, plan cycles, group work into projects and link pull requests, then check progress in the app instead of in a meeting.

Features

What a workspace holds

Issues, the teams that own them, the cycles and projects they are planned into, and the views and inbox you read them through.

  • Issues

Every issue gets a team key, a status, a priority, labels, an estimate and an assignee. Break big work into sub-issues and link related ones.

  • Teams

Each team keeps its own key prefix, workflow statuses, labels and members, so one workspace can hold several ways of working.

  • Cycles

Plan work in time boxed cycles and watch progress roll up from the issues inside them as they move.

  • Projects and roadmap

Group issues across teams into projects with a lead, dates and progress, then see every project and cycle on one roadmap.

  • Board, list and saved views

Switch between a list and a board, filter by any property, and save the views you come back to so the whole team can use them.

  • Inbox and notifications

Assignments, mentions, comments and status changes land in one inbox, and reach your verified email address too.

Every common action has a shortcut

Press Command K or Ctrl K to reach any action from anywhere, or learn the single keys for the ones you use most.

GitHub

Pull requests move issues for you

Connect the GitHub app and mention an issue key in a branch name, pull request title or description. The pull request is linked to the issue automatically.

  • Opening a pull request moves the issue to In Progress.
  • Merging one that says Fixes, Closes or Resolves before the key moves the issue to Done.
  • Each team chooses which status every step moves to.

API

Reach the same data from your own tools

What you can do in the app, your scripts, your terminal and your AI assistants can do through the API.

  • REST API

A documented API with workspace API keys for scripts and services.

  • Webhooks

Get a signed request when an issue is created, updated or changes status, or when someone comments.

  • MCP server

Connect Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client that supports remote HTTP servers. It signs in through your browser with OAuth, so there is no key to paste.

  • CLI

List, create, edit and close issues from your terminal, and get a branch name for one. Every command can print JSON for scripts.

    pip install standupless-cli

Once you are signed in, the MCP and CLI page in settings has the setup for each assistant and for the CLI. Create an account
